IMPORTED MATERIAL SHALL MEET THE REQUIREMENT OF GRAVEL BORROW AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 3.16.1.3 OF THE DESIGN AND <br />CONSTRICTION STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS, OR CRUSHED SURFACING TOP COURSE AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 9-03.9(3) OF THE <br />1991 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR ROAD, BRIDGE AND MUNICIPAL CONSTRUCTION. <br />12. TRENCH BACKFILL SHALL BE SPREAD IN LAYERS AND COMPACTED BY MECHANICAL TAMPERS OF THE IMPACT TYPE APPROVED BY THE <br />CITY ENGINEER.
