Using leveling plates as templates,drill
two 1/2 inch (13 mm)diameter holes into floor. Use low pressure air to clean hole. Drive 1/2 inch anchors into floor until
nut contacts baseplate.Snug the anchor bolt nuts against baseplate. Using a transit theodolite, determine height of leveling
screws required to achieve the desired lowered runway height and level condition. Measure elevations while lowered on
leveling screws and then raise rack slightly to allow the bolts to be turned by hand. Repeat until desired lowered condition
is achieved. After final height adjustments are completed, use hex nuts to lock leveling screws in place.Apply a yellow and
black decal to the outer corners of leveling assemblies.
13.4. Final Leveling
Select a vehicle that weights 3600 to 4200 pounds (1633 to 1905 Kg) and has a wheelbase of approximately 110 to 120
inches (2794 to 3048 mm). Most Mercedes sedans will meet these requirements.
Q CAUTION
Confirm that the nuts on each anchor bolt are snug against base.Since the base is not yet grouted, be cautious
when driving the vehicle onto the rack for the final leveling.
Page 42 of-89
P'kV17
