Duct insulation <br />requirements have increased in the 2021 code. Please reference table C403.10.1.1. <br />IMEG Response: Table C403.10.1.1 is for outdoor air only. Per response to comment 9e <br />above, the Ductwork Insulation Schedule has been revised to include outdoor air <br />ductwork shall be insulated with minimum R-7 insulation in accordance with Table <br />C403.10.1.1. Note that the outside air ductwork for this project is inside the conditioned <br />space and conveys less than 2800 CFM. Table C403.10.1.2 covers supply, return, <br />exhaust and relief air ductwork insulation. The ductwork for this project would fall within <br />the category of providing air that is less than 55OF or greater than 105°F, as there may be <br />times where the discharge air temperature from the fan coil units meets these values, <br />and therefore the required ductwork insulation would be R-3.3. The ductwork insulation <br />indicated for supply and return is R-6 which exceeds this requirement. <br />h.
