6. Grade of setup points shall not exceed 5 percent. <br /> 7. Dimensions of the setup points shall be a minimum of 45 feet long and of sufficient width to <br /> support aerial operations and allow vehicle clearance to pass on required access roads as <br /> determined by the Fire Chief. <br /> 8. Trees, overhead power lines and other obstructions near the setup point must not interfere <br /> with aerial operations and must meet the approval of the Fire Chief and Building Official. <br /> 9. Setup points shall be marked in an approved manner with painted curbs, stripes and"No <br /> Parking" signs. <br /> 10. Specific requirements for each project will be established by the Fire Chief based on site <br /> layout and building design. <br /> H-Permit Application. <br /> Permit applications submitted pursuant to this section shall include the plans and specifications <br /> as specified by the Building Official and Fire Chief. Prior to submission for permit,the applicant <br /> shall have a pre-application design conference with both departments. <br /> I-Construction and Inspection. <br /> The following shall be required for buildings designed and constructed pursuant to this section: <br /> 1. Structural Observation: - Structural observation provided by the engineer of record; and <br /> 2. Special Inspection: - Special inspections, which focus on the lateral, force resistance systems, <br /> provided by a special inspector employed by the owner, or the engineer or architect of record <br /> acting as the owner's agent. <br /> J-Maintenance of Fire Protection Systems. <br /> The owners of mixed-use apartment buildings approved under City building regulations shall be <br /> responsible for assuring that the fire and life-safety systems required by the Building Code and <br /> the Everett Municipal Code are maintained in an operable condition at all times. Unless <br /> otherwise required by the Fire Chief, quarterly testing of such systems shall be conducted by <br /> testers approved by the City. A written record shall be maintained and shall be forwarded to the <br /> Fire Marshal and be available to the inspection authority. <br /> Section 2: Severability. <br /> Should any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or its <br /> application to any person or situation be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such <br /> decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application <br /> to any other person or situation. The City Council of the City of Everett hereby declares that it <br /> would have adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or <br /> portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, <br /> clauses,phrases or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional. <br /> 4 <br />
