Project No. 096-24516
November 13,2024
Page No. 2
spoon. The sample jars were completely filled with no remaining headspace. The sample jars were
labeled with the project name, number, and the sequential sample number. Following labeling, the
samples were placed in an ice chest with synthetic ice and maintained at a temperature of approximately
4° Celsius. A chain-of-custody form was completed at the end of the sampling day to document the
sample possession from the point of collection to the time of receipt by the laboratory.
There was no visible groundwater in the tank removal excavation.
1.3 Laboratory Analysis
The sample was delivered to Friedman and Bruya, Inc. located in Seattle, Washington under chain-of-
custody protocol for analysis. This laboratory is a Washington State-accredited laboratory. The samples
were analyzed for the following:
• Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon(TPH) in the Gas-Extended by Method NWTPH-Gx;
• Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon(TPH)in the Diesel-Extended by Method NWTPH-Dx;
• Benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene,and total xylenes(BTEX)by Method 8021B
The laboratory analytical data report and chain-of-custody form are provided in Appendix A.
1.4 Laboratory Sample Results
1.4.1 Soil Sample
Table 1 lists the summary of hydrocarbon and organic analytical results for the samples. The TPH results
for gasoline, diesel and motor oil were above available Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) Method A
cleanup action levels. The BTEX results were all at non-detectable levels or were below available MTCA
Method A cleanup action levels.
Table 1—Summary of Hydrocarbon and Organic Analytical Data—Soil,November 11,2024
2914 Rucker Avenue
Total Petroleum
H drocarbons „ N
Sample Depth Sample Sample

Number (in.)
