Wetland B is a depressional,forested wetland associated with Stream A,located south of 93rd Place
<br /> SW and the subject property. As viewed from the subject property and public roadways, dominant
<br /> vegetation consists of black cottonwood (Populus balsamifera, FAC), red alder (Alnus rubra, FAC),
<br /> Pacific willow (Salix lucida; FACW), Sitka willow (Salix sitchensis; FACW), salmonberry (Rubus
<br /> spectabilis;FAC),Himalayan blackberry(Rubus armeniacus;FAC),hardhack(Spiraea douglasii,FACW),
<br /> skunk cabbage (Lysichiton americanus; OBL), and reed canarygrass (Phalaris arundinacea; FACW).
<br /> Snags and woody debris are present throughout the wetland.

<br /> Wetland C is a large, depressional wetland complex that meets the criteria for a bog wetland per
<br /> the Washington State wetland rating system (Key for Identfiying Bogs in the Rating System, page 88).
<br /> This wetland is depicted by the City of Everett as "Kasch Park Bog" or "Bomarc Bog". This
<br /> wetland is located off-site, approximately 300 feet west of the subject property.
<br /> 4.0 WILDLIFE.ASSESSMENT
<br /> The on-site stream and associated wetland contain resources for wildlife such as food, water,
<br /> thermal cover, and refuge in close proximity. Given the habitat available, the following
<br /> mammalian species may use the area: North American beaver (Castor canadensis), bats (Myotis spp.),
<br /> Columbian black-tailed deer (0docoileus hemionus columbianus), deer mice (Peromyscus maniculatus),
<br /> eastern cottontail rabbits (Sylvilagus floridanus), moles (Scapanus spp.), raccoons (Procyon lotor), shrews
<br /> (Sorex spp.), skunks (Mephitis spp.), squirrels (Sciuris griseus, Tamiasciurus douglasiz), and Virginia
<br /> opossums(Didelphis virginiana).The following avian species are also expected to use the area: Stellar's
<br /> Jay(Cyanocitta stellerz),Black-capped Chickadee(Poecile atricapillus),Spotted Towhee(Pipilo maculatus),
<br /> Bushtit(Psaltriparus minimus),Northern Flicker(Colaptes auratus), Hairy Woodpecker(Picoides villosus),
<br /> Downy Woodpecker (Dendrocopus villosus), Red-breasted Nuthatch (Sitka canadensis), Brown Creeper
<br /> (Certhia americana), Varied Thrush (Ixoreus naevius), and Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis). Other
<br /> wildlife expected to use this site include: pacific tree frog (Hyla regilla), northwestern salamander
<br /> (Ambystoma gracile), and rough-skinned newt (Taricha granulosa). These lists are not meant to be all-
<br /> inclusive and may omit species that currently utilize or could utilize the site.
