Several of the plans appear to have been reduced from their original <br /> drafted architectural scale to fit on 8.5"x 11" sheets. Please resubmit the <br /> drawings on a sheet size that maintains the architectural scale of the <br /> construction plans. IRC R106.1.1. <br /> 2. The proposed guardrail connection details do not appear to be provided for <br /> the deck addition. Please provide connection details addressing their <br /> attachment to the deck structure and stairway. IRC R106.1.1. <br /> 3. Please demonstrate on the construction drawings that the proposed stairway <br /> tread and riser dimensions are adequate as this information appears to be <br /> missing. IRC R311.7.5. <br /> 4. The proposed deck addition does not appear to have lateral connections or <br /> have a means to resolve lateral forces developed by the deck addition at the <br /> deck and roof levels to the foundation or through the existing residence. Please <br /> indicate via construction details how lateral forces are resolved through the <br /> PERMIT SERVICES deck and roof framing as well as provide design calculations that resolve these <br /> lateral forces. As the deck framing design appears to be engineered the <br /> Q3200 Cedar Street Engineer of Record should address lateral conditions of the deck and their <br /> Everett,WA 98201 connections.
