<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ________ <br /> <br />An ORDINANCE creating a special improvement project entitled “Drew Nielsen Park Playground <br />Replacement” Project, Fund 354, Program 102, to accumulate all costs for the project. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />A. The City Council is committed to a planned parks capital improvement program as part of the City <br />of Everett Parks and Recreation Open Space (PROS) Plan adopted in 2022. <br /> <br />B. The playground at Drew Nielsen Park is 18 years old and exceeds the City of Everett Park’s life- <br />cycle standard of 15 years. <br /> <br />C. The City Council recognizes the need to replace the playground and playground surfacing at Drew <br />Nielsen Park. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1. A special improvement project fund is hereby entitled Drew Nielsen Park Renovation <br />Project, Fund 354, Program 102 <br /> <br />Section 2. Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute payments from Fund <br />354, Program 102 for the special improvement project. <br /> <br />Section 3. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Facilities Department Director under <br />the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all <br />necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 4. The sum of $345,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, Program 102, “Drew Nielsen <br />Park Playground Replacement” project. <br /> <br />A. Use of Funds <br />Construction and Related Costs $345,000 <br />Total $345,000 <br /> <br />B. Source of Funds <br />CIP 3 $345,000
