For 2025, $300,000 has been made available <br />from the City’s General Fund. Following similar action in prior years, $46,230.99 of residual funds <br />from 2024 Human Needs awards will be carried forward for 2025. <br />A total of $346,230.99 has been made available for award allocations. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Managed by the City’s Community Development Division, Human Needs Funds are general fund <br />dollars that directly support the city’s most vulnerable residents through grant awards to <br />community partners. Human Needs funds run consistent with the City’s fiscal year, January to <br />December. <br />Award recommendations for funding proposals are established annually through a public hearing <br />held by the Community Development Advisory Committee and enacted through City Council <br />action in the form of a Resolution. <br />Funding recommendations for 2025 awards are presented as continuations of 2024 Human <br />Needs awards and will stay consistent with City Council adopted priority needs for Human Needs <br />funds under Resolution 7931. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Adopt a Resolution and authorize Mayor to award and execute agreements for 2025 Human <br />Needs fund allocations. <br /> <br />City Council Agenda Item Cover Sheet
