During such time, and provided that 18 <br />there has been an advance warning to the public, the intersection may be closed for the 19 <br />minimum time required to place and compact the mixture. In hot weather, the Engineer 20 <br />may require the application of water to the pavement to accelerate the finish rolling of the 21 <br />pavement and to shorten the time required before reopening to traffic. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Before closing an intersection, advance warning signs shall be placed and signs shall 24 <br />also be placed marking the detour or alternate route. 25 <br /> 26 <br />During paving operations, temporary pavement markings shall be maintained throughout 27 <br />the project. Temporary pavement markings shall be installed on the Roadway prior to 28 <br />opening to traffic.
