Existing valve boxes and covers shall be adjusted to the grade as 20 <br />staked or otherwise designated by the Engineer. The adjustment of the valve box to 21 <br />grade by the use of riser rings is not allowed. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Removal operations shall be conducted to prevent damage to the valve boxes. Any 24 <br />parts or materials damaged due to the Contractor's operations shall be replaced at 25 <br />the Contractor’s expense. Castings that need replacement shall be identified by the 26 <br />City of Everett. 27 <br /> 28 <br />The Contractor shall conduct the valve box adjustments so that the fully -adjusted box 29 <br />allows the respective valve to be fully operational.
