Please also email me that you and your father agree to implement the below
restoration plan.
Restoration Plan:
As indicated on the attached map (Restoration Site Plan, dated 8/29/2023), approximately 605 square feet of buffer
has been impacted by the construction of unpermitted structures. The applicant and property owner intend to remove
these structures from the buffer and to restore the 605 square feet by replanting native vegetation, including native
trees and shrubs.Additionally, the property owner will install a split-rail fence along the original buffer boundary as
originally detailed in the 2004 Riverstone Sensitive Area Study& Buffer Mitigation Plan and the 2005 approved Plat
Map plans. Two (2) Critical Areas signs will be installed along the installed split-rail fence in conspicuous locations.
These signs can be purchased from the City of Everett Permit Services Counter at 3200 Cedar St if needed.
To restore the impacted buffer area (605 SF), per ecological standards in the Puget Sound/Western Washington region,
the restoration proposal includes calculating required plant quantities by planting 60%of the restoration area with
native trees and 40%of the restoration area with native shrubs.Trees will be installed at 10-feet on-center spacings
and shrubs will be installed at 6-feet on-center spacings. Therefore, the property owner will plant a total of 4 trees
and 7 shrubs within the restoration area. Please see the table below for the proposed plant quantities:
Proposed Restoration Area (605 SF,see map)
Common Name Latin Name Stratum Size Spacing Quantity
1.
