February 5, 2025 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., February 5, 2025, <br />by President Schwab. <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Council Members Rhyne, Schwab, Zarlingo, Bader, and Tuohy <br />were present. Mayor Franklin and Council Member Fosse were excused. Council Member Vogeli <br />was expected to be late. <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Vogeli joined the meeting at 6:32 p.m. <br />Council Member Rhyne recited the land acknowledgement. <br />The minutes of the January 29, 2025, meeting were approved. <br />MAYOR <br />Mayor Franklin was excused. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />The following members of the public spoke: Amy Hieb, Julie Zehnder, John Klosterman, Michelle <br />Pendergrass, Scott Sparling, Haley Kenville, Abi Ludwig, and Holly James. <br />COUNCIL <br />Vice President Zarlingo stated there is a noise ordinance coming to the Council agenda next week. <br />He also commented on his attendance at the Silverlake neighborhood meeting last week. He <br />thanked all who participated in the City blood drive last week. <br />Council Member Rhyne requested additional information regarding Council Bill 2501-10 - <br />regarding the Drew Nielsen Park Playground Replacement. She stated she will be attending <br />another Hope N Wellness meeting next week. She also encouraged people to utilize the cold <br />weather shelters. She stated she also attended the Downtown Everett Association 2025 Kickoff <br />and that the new Chamber of Commerce is up and running. <br />Council Member Vogeli commented on her attendance at the Parks Board and the Alliance for <br />Housing Affordability meetings. She also provided kudos to downtown businesses.
