room. The jurors are not allowed into the chambers area and that door is not a part of the accessible route for
jurors. Should a juror or witness need an accessible route to the chambers area, then one is provided. The juror
or witness would exit with raised platform via the ramp inside the courtroom between the jury box and the
witness stand. Then cross the courtroom to the same courtroom door used by the judge, clerk, and court
reporters. Once out of the courtroom the juror or witness may approach the door to the chambers area from the
east, same as the judge, clerk, and court reporter.
, , , I I
a
0 0
IInII 0
TV. The door into the existing space at the bottom
of the newly created western ramp functions the same way, but as a mirror image with the accessible route
coming from the west rather than the east. Finally, going down the ramp and then through the door is not along
the emergency egress route from the space. For egress, a person would continue along the corridor.
We appreciate your consideration of the proposed compliance above and for the opportunity to work with the
City on this assignment. Thank you for your consideration.
Regards,
Dou Las lepfintAl---
Principal, SLAM Collaborative
The S/L/A/M Collaborative, Inc.
