Partial Plan 3/IF-423 appears to have new walls and doors that are depicted as existing construction (e.g., <br />incorrect drawing layers, etc.). The plan should be revised to clearly indicate the proposed work. See IBC <br />Section 107.2.1. <br />SLAM RESPONSE: Sheet IF-423, Rev 1 dated 7/20/2022 corrects the graphic issue related to new <br />construction. <br />Egress: <br />2. Room 3D in Plan 2/IF-423 appears to be an assembly occupancy. The following comments should be <br />addressed: <br />a. All doors exiting this room should specify panic hardware. See IBC Section 1010.1.10. <br />b. The primary exit should be posted with a maximum occupant load sign. See IBC Section 1004.9. <br />SLAM RESPONSE: ALL courtroom exit doors have panic hardware as specified in specification section <br />08710o DOOR HARWARE. Exit Devices are Von Duprin 35A/98 Series. Maximum occupant Load signage <br />to be provided under a separate contract. <br />3. Details for the stair rise and run should be included. See IBC Section 1011.5.2. <br />SLAM RESPONSE: ENLARGED MILLWORK PLAN o1/iF-427 shows tread depths as 12 inches and three <br />risers to achieve the 18 inch height for the judicial bench. <br />4• The ramps appear to have a slope of 1:12. The maximum slope(s) should be specified in the plans. See IBC <br />Section 1012.2, <br />SLAM RESPONSE: ALL ramps are now designated as 1:12 slopes. <br />5. Handrails should be specified on each side of all stairways and ramps. Details for the handrails should be <br />included in the drawings. Walls should include blocking capable of resisting the required loads.
