CONCEPT
ARCHITECTURE, LLC
8 June 2023
©LE V E
City of Everett
Attn. Drew Martin
3200 Cedar Street _ JUN 14 2023 12)
Everett, WA 98201
CITY OF EVERETT
RE: Permit Services
Owner: Calvary Baptist Church-Everett
Job Address: 3332 Colby Avenue
Plan Check Number: B2210-002, First Building Review
Dear Drew:
Per your request, we have revised the drawings and marked all updates with revision
marker 2.
3. a. See modification.
b. Details have been added for the posts supporting the beams below the lobby.
c. We have modified the way we are providing the rating below due to your other
comments about insulation.
4. Almost every commercial building these days has foam insulation on the roof due to our
wonderful energy codes. I find no rated assemblies containing this element. The reason
is most likely because section 720.5 allows the addition of foam insulation on a roof
assembly in any type of construction so long as the roof material is approved (in this
case Class A metal roof). Please see our notes on insulation where we have specified
the max flame spread, etc. of the foam insulation per Chapter 26 and 720.2
requirements.
7. Please see added emergency egress light added to the second exit.
8. a. i. We have modified the roof insulation, however, The code states a metal building,
not a premanufactured metal building. I believe we could utilize that insulation method in
any metal building as long it is a metal purlin / metal roof type design.
!!. Please see updated wall details.
III. We have added insulation below the slab and have added thermal break/slab
edge insulation. See updated drawings in various locations.
b. Please see update to Energy notes on A2.1.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
CONCEPT ARCHITECTURE,
Martin J.
