Then a large hole was cut in the plates <br /> to fit over the 3x3 washers in the bottom plate. See photo attached. <br /> The two anchor bolts transfer the load adequately through the bottom plate, Unfortunately the upper <br /> plate is nailed to the sheeting so enough shear transfers out of the wall sheathing going down to the <br /> concrete. You can add an LTP4 vertically on the center panel and two LTP4's on each of the end <br /> walls. In addition another plate should be added between the studs, nailed through the wall sheeting, <br /> and nailed to the center plate with 10-10d nails <br /> This should provide the capacity originally called for by our engineering and detail.
