Dave Pedersen
Plan Check Number: B2110-028, First Building Review
January 5, 2022
connectors in contact with preservative-treated wood and fire-retardant-treated
wood shall be in accordance with Section R317.3.
e. Specify roof and floor sheathing and the required nailing.
2. See Section 3 on Sheet 5. The foundations should be founded a minimum of 18" below grade
for frost protection per EMC Section 16.01.010(J).
3. The structural drawings include work that has been deferred by the structural engineer. A
statement of deferred submittals shall be added to the Structural General Notes listing work
designated as deferred submittals (Pre-manufactured trusses). The note shall include a
statement requiring the engineer-of-record to review the deferred submittals and verify
conformance with the construction documents. See IBC Sections 107.2.1, 107.3.4, 107.3.4.1,
and 107.4.
4. Roof Plan shows sheathing cantilevering about 18 inches. A detail or framing should be shown
to support the cantilever. Note the maximum cantilever for roof sheathing beyond the gable
end wall is 9" unless supported by gable overhang framing. See Section R802.5.2.1
5. See Section 3 on Sheet 5. Roof assemblies should have uplift resistance in accordance with
Sections R802.11.1.1. Trusses should be attached to supporting wall assemblies by connections
capable of resisting the uplift force. Plans should show the connection between the truss and
wall.
This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and
amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made
during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit
requirements. The designers-of-record are responsible for a complete design in accordance with
the laws of the state of Washington.
If you have any questions or require additional clarification, please contact us.
Respectfully,
Rakeeb Khan
Residential Plans Examiner
(425)257-7299
rkhan@everettwa.gov
S:\RKhan\2021\B2110-028_R1.docx
3200 Cedar Street © 425.257.8810 O everetteps@everettwa.gov
Everett,WA 98201 425.257.8857 fax everettwa.gov/permits
Page 3 of 3
