4. Furnish and install a new'/z"ASTM C 1289 Type II Class 4 Grade 2 (100+ psi) CGF <br /> polyisocyanurate HD cover board, mechanically fastened. <br /> 5. Furnish and install new ASTM C 1289 Type II Class 2, Grade 2 (20 psi) or Grade 3 (25 <br /> psi) polyisocyanu rate insulation, R-38ci, mechanically fastened. <br /> 6. Contractor is required to perform fastener pull testing. <br /> 7. Premanufactured tapered organic faced ISO insulation units are to be used at roof drains, <br /> sumps, crickets, and saddles to promote positive water flow to the roof drains. Provide <br /> additional tapered insulation as needed to prevent low spots and ponding water. <br /> 8. Furnish and install 6"wide yellow safety stripe 10'from roof perimeter where parapet walls <br /> are less than 42"tall. <br /> 9. Furnish and install new roof hatch with curb-mounted safety rail system. <br /> 10. Furnish and install manufacturer's standard walk pad at the roof access point and <br /> serviceable rooftop unit access doors. <br /> 11. Furnish and install new ES-1 metal coping in like kind with existing. Color to be selected <br /> by Owner. Wrap new membrane up parapet walls and wrap overtop to terminate under <br /> new coping. <br /> 12. Replace collector heads at scuppers in like kind with existing. <br /> 13. Replace wood equipment supports with new rubber-based, adjustable equipment supports <br /> on protection pads. <br /> 14. Replace all existing pitch pockets with liquid flashing detail. All new penetrations shall <br /> have liquid flashing. Pitch pockets will be accepted only with prior approval from Roof <br /> Designer. <br /> 15. Replace skylight/smoke vents, in like kind with existing. Reuse burglar bars. <br /> 16. Contractor is to remove existing roof assembly at areas of deck deflection >3/4"to check <br /> deck and structure for damage. <br /> 17. Contractor is to remove abandoned curbs and penetrations. Coordinate with Owner. <br /> 18. Coordinate with Owner and Owner's MEP contractor to raise RTUs and curb heights as <br /> needed to meet the manufacturer's minimum acceptable vertical flashing height and meet <br /> increased roof height. <br /> 19. The base bid roof system will be designed to 30-year(or more) manufacturer's special <br /> project warranty requirements; however, the contractor will provide a 2-year <br /> manufacturer's NDL warranty and a 30-year material-only manufacturer's warranty in <br /> addition to a 5-year contractors workmanship guarantee. <br /> 1.05 GENERAL NOTES <br /> A. The information given herein and on the plans is as exact as could be secured for bidding <br /> purposes. Accuracy is to be field verified. Contractors must examine the job conditions and <br /> verify all measurements, distances, elevations, clearances, etc. And base their bids and work <br /> on verified conditions. These documents serve to depict the final configuration of <br /> improvements, and do not dictate all responsibilities the contractors have in achieving that end. <br /> The contractor is to report to the designer any conflict between bid documents, field conditions <br /> and/or code requirements prior to commencement of work. All products proposed for use shall <br /> be in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local governing ordinances, codes, and <br /> regulations. Notify the consultant immediately of conflicts between the specified products <br /> and/or project work requirements and codes, ordinances and/or regulations. <br /> B. The Contract Documents showing the existing construction were prepared using limited field <br /> observations by the Consultant. Actual conditions may vary from those shown. Hidden <br /> conditions may be discovered over the course of the work. Further investigations may uncover <br /> conditions which may require remedial attention prior to proceeding with demolition or <br /> construction. Contractor shall be aware of the need to proceed with due diligence and care and <br /> shall notify Consultant of conditions which do not reflect those indicated or which require further <br /> testing and repair prior to proceeding. Contractor shall correct conditions that are detrimental to <br /> timely and proper execution of the Work.
