Refer to project specifications for additional information. <br /> D. All work is to be coordinated with the owner's designated representative and facility manager. <br /> E. The contractor is responsible for providing documentation after asbestos abatement is <br /> completed, including a general narrative of the asbestos oversight work completed with pictures <br /> if applicable; documentation on the licensed personnel that provided the oversight for the work; <br /> copies of any oversight sampling needed or required; and copies of final disposal manifests. <br /> F. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to locate all existing utilities whether shown herein <br /> or not, and to protect utilities from damage. The contractor shall bear all expenses of repair or <br /> replacement of utilities or other property damaged by operations in conjunction with the <br /> execution of the work. <br /> G. The consultant and owner are not responsible for the acts and omissions of the contractor, <br /> subcontractors, or material suppliers including but not limited to the following: safety <br /> precautions/ program and their enforcement, construction means and methods, construction <br /> techniques, sequencing and procedures employed by the contractor, and subcontractors, the <br /> manufacturers' published requirements, procedures, verbal directions documented and <br /> undocumented from the manufacturer regarding application techniques or procedures from <br /> their staff-issued to the contractor or subcontractors on site. <br /> H. It is the responsibility of the contractor to protect building occupants and the public from falling <br /> debris or equipment. Do not throw materials from the roof. Contractor is responsible for <br /> protecting building surfaces, finishes, and systems from damage, discoloration, etc. during all <br /> construction activities. <br /> I. Contractor is responsible for verifying all dimensions and conditions of the project, including <br /> verification of existing roof system construction and materials. <br /> J. Contractor staging and storage areas shall be as directed by the owner's representative at the <br /> pre-construction meeting. Contractor shall assume a reasonable amount of storage and staging <br /> space will be made available. <br /> K. Contractor is responsible for knowing the roof deck loading capacity of the existing building for <br /> storage of materials on the existing structure. Do not overload the roof structure with materials, <br /> equipment, or debris. <br /> L. Personal fall protection devices are not, nor will be, provided by the owner on any roof area <br /> designated to receive work. Personal fall protection is the responsibility of the contractor. <br /> M. Existing materials and construction are noted on the drawings as existing. All other notations <br /> indicate new materials, products, and construction unless otherwise stated or indicated. <br /> N. All hazardous materials, including, but not limited to asbestos, lead and PCB containing <br /> materials must be removed by a qualified and licensed abatement contractor in accordance <br /> with the local, state, and federal authorities having jurisdiction. Contractor is to provide all <br /> documentation required by the local authorities including material manifests for disposal and air <br /> monitoring reports were required. <br /> O. The new roof system will incorporate low-no-odor adhesives in the application in accordance <br /> with current OSHA regulations. <br /> P. Add new wood nailers, as required, to match depth of the new insulation. <br /> Q. Add additional wood blocking and plywood to parapet walls as designed in contract drawings. <br /> Raise gravel stop edges to exceed insulation height by (1) 2 x board at the lowest point unless <br /> the edge is associated with a gutter drainage system or contract drawings provide an alternate <br /> design. <br /> R.
