SECTION 01 2000 <br /> ADMINISTRATION AND COORDINATION <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.01 COORDINATION OF WORK <br /> A. Contractor is responsible to coordinate and supervise the roof removal and new roof <br /> installation, including related work. <br /> B. Contractor shall be responsible to coordinate and overseeing completion of the work herein <br /> described. Terms such as "roofer" or"other contractors" and similar expressions shall be <br /> deemed to refer to the Contractor with whom the Owner and Owner's Representative entered <br /> into agreement. <br /> C. No one shall assume or interpret that only manufacturer minimums apply. No reduction in the <br /> scope of work is permitted without the submission of the proper change order. The final <br /> decision shall be the made by Owner or Owner's Representative. <br /> D. Roofing Contractor shall be deemed as the main contractor, as the major scope of the project is <br /> roofing. <br /> E. Contractor shall maintain a full-time supervisor/foreman on the job site during the time that <br /> roofing work is in progress. Said supervisor shall have a minimum of five years' experience in <br /> roofing work similar in nature and scope to specified roofing. <br /> 1.02 ACCESS AND AVAILABILITY <br /> A. Any bidder requesting access for estimating purposes while building is occupied shall abide by <br /> the Owner's and Owner's Representative's rules and regulations. Job site conditions are <br /> determined by Owner and Owner's Representatives. <br /> B. Upon receipt of Owner's and Owner's Representative's written notice to proceed, site will then <br /> be available to Contractor. Contractor shall be responsible for the custody and control of the <br /> site, equipment, and material areas during the term of operation. <br /> C. Contractor shall accept project site as is. Failure to properly examine the project site shall not <br /> constitute cause for complaint or extra payment. <br /> D. Entrances and exits to and from the building shall not be blocked unless the permission is <br /> granted from Owner and Owner's Representative. Access for firefighting equipment must <br /> always be maintained. <br /> E. No unauthorized personnel shall have access to equipment and material storage areas. <br /> 1.03 COORDINATION WITH OWNER <br /> A. Owner and Owner's Representative intend to utilize building in its normal manner. Contractor <br /> shall coordinate work so it shall not interfere with the day-to-day occupancy of the building. <br /> Contractor shall give notice to Owner and Owner's Representative of any work to be performed <br /> in critically occupied areas. <br /> 1.04 MEETINGS <br /> A. Pre-Bid Conference: All bidders shall attend the mandatory Pre-Bid site inspection at a date <br /> and time to be announced. Attendees of this conference shall be the owner's representative, <br /> the contractors, and the roofing consultant. The meeting is to review bidding requirements, <br /> contract documents, and existing conditions and to give the bidders an opportunity to ask <br /> questions and obtain information. The consultant will provide minutes of the meeting and <br /> furnish a copy to each representative. The following items shall be reviewed at this meeting. <br /> 1. Contract provisions <br /> 2. Products and installation procedures <br /> 3. Submittal requirements <br /> 4. Coordination of work and responsibility of other trades. <br /> 5.
