1. When testing is complete, remove test specimens, assemblies, mockups, and laboratory <br /> mockups; do not reuse products on Project. <br /> 2. Testing Agency Responsibilities: Submit a certified written report of each test, inspection, <br /> and similar quality-assurance service to Consultant/ Designer, with copy to Contractor. <br /> Interpret tests and inspections and state in each report whether tested and inspected work <br /> complies with or deviates from the Contract Documents. <br /> 1.09 THIRD PARTY INSPECTIONS <br /> A. The Owner will retain a 3rd party to monitor various phases of the work and provide written <br /> reports for the day's work, indicating compliance with or deviation from the contract documents. <br /> Contractor shall notify the consultant within five (5)working days to schedule inspections when <br /> the project is going to commence. Ideally, inspections will be made when the following work is <br /> going to be performed: <br /> 1. Tear off of roofing materials <br /> 2. Installation of rigid insulation board <br /> 3. Installation of stripping over gravel stop <br /> 4. Installation of the counterflashing or coping <br /> 5. Installation of the gutter <br /> 6. Initial installation of the membrane and base flashings <br /> B. Contractor shall notify the consultant when the work will be performed. Consultant will make <br /> these inspections within 8 working days of written notification from the roofing contractor. In lieu <br /> of a physical inspection, contractor may submit digital photographs to Consultant for review. <br /> C. Corrective action for any deviation shall be accomplished in a manner agreed upon by the <br /> Owner's Representative and shall be corrected at no cost to the Owner. <br /> D. The presence of the Owner's Representative is not to relieve the Contractor of his quality <br /> assurance duties but to examine it. Nothing contained herein or in any other related documents <br /> implies, creates, or represents any contractual agreement or obligation between the Owner's <br /> Representative and the Contractor. <br /> 1.10 QUALITY CONTROL <br /> A. Contractor Responsibilities: Unless otherwise indicated, provide quality-control services, <br /> specified, and required by authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> 1. Engage a qualified testing agency to perform quality-control services, excluding concrete <br /> and soil compacting testing. <br /> 2. Notify testing agencies and PROLOGIS, L.P. at least 72 hours in advance of time when <br /> Work that requires testing or inspecting will be performed. <br /> 3. Submit a certified written report, in duplicate, of each quality-control service. <br /> 4. Testing and inspecting requested by Contractor and not required by the Contract <br /> Documents are Contractor's responsibility. <br /> 5. Submit additional copies of each written report directly to authorities having jurisdiction <br /> when they so direct. <br /> B. Manufacturer's Field Services: Where indicated, engage a factory-authorized service <br /> representative to inspect field-assembled components and equipment installation, including <br /> service connections. Report results in writing as specified in Division 1 Section "Submittal <br /> Procedures". <br /> C. Re-testing/Re-inspecting: Owner reserves the right to request specific testing, regardless of <br /> whether original tests or inspections were Contractor's responsibility, provide quality-control <br /> services, including re-testing and re-inspecting, for construction that replaced Work that failed <br /> to comply with the Contract Documents. <br /> D. Testing Agency Responsibilities: Cooperate with Consultant/ Designer and Contractor in <br /> performance of duties.
