SECTION 01 5000 <br /> TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS <br /> PART 1 GENERAL <br /> 1.01 SECTION INCLUDES <br /> A. Temporary sanitary facilities. <br /> B. Temporary Controls: Barriers, enclosures, and fencing. <br /> C. Vehicular access and parking. <br /> D. Removal of utilities. <br /> 1.02 RELATED REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Section 01 1000 Summary <br /> B. Section 01 3000 Administrative Requirements <br /> 1.03 TEMPORARY UTILITIES <br /> A. Owner will provide the following: <br /> 1. Owner will provide all temporary and permanent modifications to any MEP roof top unit, <br /> equipment, electrical and gas connections associated with raising the existing roof curbs <br /> to accommodate the new roof system. <br /> 2. Electrical power, consisting of connection to existing facilities. <br /> 3. Water supply, consisting of connection to existing facilities. <br /> 1.04 TEMPORARY SANITARY FACILITIES <br /> A. Contractor is to provide and maintain required facilities and enclosures. Provide at time of <br /> project mobilization. <br /> B. Contractor to maintain daily in clean and sanitary condition. <br /> C. At end of construction, Contractor is to return facilities to same or better condition as originally <br /> found. <br /> 1.05 BARRIERS <br /> A. Contractor to provide barriers to prevent unauthorized entry to construction areas, to prevent <br /> access to areas that could be hazardous to workers or the public, to allow for Owner's use of <br /> site and to protect existing facilities and adjacent properties from damage from construction <br /> operations and demolition. <br /> B. Contractor to provide barricades and covered walkways required by governing authorities for <br /> public rights-of-way and for public access to existing building. <br /> C. Contractor to protect all non-owned vehicular traffic, stored materials, site, and structures from <br /> damage. <br /> 1.06 FENCING <br /> A. Provide 6 foot high fence around construction site; equip with vehicular and pedestrian gates <br /> with locks. <br /> 1.07 VEHICULAR ACCESS AND PARKING <br /> A. Coordinate access and haul routes with governing authorities and Owner management. <br /> B. Owner to provide and maintain access to fire hydrants, free of obstructions. <br /> C. Contractor is to provide means of removing mud from vehicle wheels before entering streets. <br /> D. Owner to provide temporary parking areas to accommodate construction personnel. When site <br /> space is not adequate, provide additional off-site parking. <br /> 1.08 REMOVAL OF UTILITIES, FACILITIES, AND CONTROLS <br /> A.
