8. Curb-mounted safety guardrails. <br /> 2.06 DUCT SUPPORTS <br /> A. Basis of design: DSA series large pipe supports designed for duct work with telescopic <br /> crossbeam that can be adjusted for different sizes of ducts. The bases shall utilize vari-angle <br /> supports that adapt to variable roof pitches. Product shall be made of 100% recycled <br /> rubber. Narrower bases may be used with the DSA 10 Series. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 FABRICATION <br /> A. Fabricate accessories free of visual distortions and defects. Weld or solder corners and joints <br /> on all metal frames and curbs. <br /> B. Fabricate units with the following clearance on each side of the existing curbs to allow room for <br /> the membrane flashings: <br /> 1. Single Ply Membranes: '/4"to '/z'. <br /> C. Provide for removal of condensation. <br /> D. Provide weathertight assembly. <br /> 3.02 INSTALLATION <br /> A. General Scope of Work <br /> 1. Coordinate installation of roof accessories with installation of roof deck, roof insulation, <br /> flashing, roofing membranes, penetrations, equipment, and other construction to ensure <br /> that combined elements are weatherproof and watertight. <br /> 2. Install roof accessory items according to construction details in NRCA's "Roofing <br /> and Waterproofing Manual," unless otherwise indicated. <br /> 3. Separation: Separate metal from incompatible metal or corrosive substrates, including <br /> wood, by coating concealed surfaces, at locations of contact, with bituminous coating or <br /> providing other permanent separation. <br /> 4. Operational Units: Test-operate units with operable components. Clean and lubricate <br /> joints and hardware. Adjust for proper operation. <br /> B. Conduit Supports <br /> 1. Place protection layer on completed roof membrane to extend beyond base minimum 3- <br /> inches in each direction. <br /> a. Set supports to provide stable base for conduits. Adjust, as necessary. Accurately <br /> locate and align. <br /> 2. Set pipe supports at 4-feet on center, maximum, unless otherwise indicated. <br /> 3. Secure conduit to supports. <br /> 3.03 REINSTALLATION <br /> A. Coordinate with Owners' MEP contractor for all equipment re-connection that were required <br /> to be disconnected by work of this section. Owners' MEP contractor is to extend and reconnect <br /> all electrical and mechanical connections associated with the required modifications, test and <br /> restore normal operation of equipment. <br /> 3.04 CLEANING <br /> A. Clean exposed surfaces according to manufacturer's written instructions.
