C. Cover: Skylight of double convex shape of high translucent fiberglass with continuous neoprene <br /> or vinyl gasket to provide a weatherproof seal. <br /> 2.02 CONDUIT SUPPORTS <br /> A. Conduit Support: <br /> 1. Stainless steel strut with high-density polypropylene base, 10-inches by 16-inches by 3- <br /> inches with stainless steel hardware, and stainless steel hardware, or as indicated on <br /> drawings. <br /> 2.03 ROOF CURBS <br /> A. Roof/ Rail <br /> Curbs: Provide metal roof curbs, internally reinforced and capable of supporting <br /> superimposed live and dead loads, including equipment loads and other construction to be <br /> supported on roof curbs. Fabricate with welded or sealed mechanical corner joints, with integral <br /> formed mounting flange at perimeter bottom. Coordinate dimensions with roof openings. <br /> 1. Material: Galvanized steel sheet, 0.052 inch thick. <br /> 2. Liner: Same material as curb, of manufacturer's standard thickness and finish. <br /> 3. Factory installed wood nailers at tops of curbs. <br /> 4. Factory insulation with 1-1/2-inch thick, glass-fiber board insulation. <br /> 5. Curb height shall be determined by adding thickness of roof insulation and minimum base <br /> flashing height recommended by roofing membrane manufacturer, or support with wood <br /> block. Fabricate units to a minimum height of 12 inches above roof. Curbs for blowers will <br /> need to match existing height of supports at isolators. <br /> B. Alternate Roof Curbs and Supports <br /> 1. See Section 06 1000 for alternate Equipment Curbs and Sleepers <br /> 2. Construct curbs from 2"X 10" Douglass fir construction grade lumber. Outside dimension <br /> of curb shall be 1" smaller than unit flashing of smoke vent or skylight to allow room for the <br /> roofing membrane and slip flashing materials. <br /> 2.04 RTU EQUIPMENT SUPPORTS <br /> A. 18 gauge galvanized painted steel curb, insulated with 3#density fiberglass insulation or 2# <br /> density polyisocya n u rate rigid insulation board, factory installed on the exterior skin of the curb <br /> and a 2"x 2" pressure treated wood nailer on top of the curb. <br /> B. Optional: 3/16" Safety Screen available in a 6"x 6" grid pattern (OSHA compliant per 29 CFR <br /> ss. 1910.23 & s. 1926.501), welded to a 1/4"wide integrated galvanized steel shelf. <br /> C. Curb shall be 14" height. <br /> D. The basis of design is a Gladiator Metal Building Roof Curb, Model MBRC-3 by Bristolite <br /> Daylighting Systems, www.bristolite.com <br /> 2.05 ROOF HATCHES <br /> A. Roof Hatches: Fabricate roof hatches with insulated double-wall lids and insulated double-wall <br /> curb frame with integral deck mounting flange and lid frame counterflashing. Fabricate with <br /> welded or mechanically fastened and sealed corner joints. Provide continuous weathertight <br /> perimeter gasketing. <br /> 1. Type and Size: Single-leaf lid, 30 by 36 inches. <br /> 2. Curb and Lid Material: Aluminum sheet, 0.090 inch. <br /> 3. Insulation: Cellulosic-fiber board. <br /> 4. Interior Lid Liner: Manufacturer's standard metal liner of same material and finish as outer <br /> metal lid. <br /> 5. Exterior Curb Liner: Manufacturer's standard metal liner of same material and finish as <br /> metal curb. <br /> 6. Fabricate units to minimum height of 12-inches above roof, unless otherwise indicated. <br /> 7.
