February 19, 2025 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., February 19, <br />2025, by President Schwab. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin and Council Members Zarlingo, Fosse, Bader, <br />Rhyne, Vogeli, Tuohy, and President Schwab were present. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne recited the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the February 12, 2025 meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin invited Deputy Police Chief Jeff Hendrickson to introduce new police officers. <br /> <br /> OATH OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Zarlingo, to concur with the <br />appointment of Prasanti Yerramilli and Christopher Cruce as new police officers. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office, Mayor Franklin pinned the officers with their <br />badges, and Council members congratulated Officers Yerramilli and Cruce. <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin visited Olympia to work with the delegation on behalf of the City of Everett and <br />the Mayors and Business Leaders for Public Safety. <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin invited Executive Director Lori Cummings to share additional information on <br />balancing the operating budget that included revenues, expenses and the fund balance. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued with Lori Cummings answering council questions. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />
