February 12, 2025 <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />Planning Commission <br />• Erin Routledge, Pos #6 – term expiring 12/31/2030 <br />• Todd Welch, Pos #7 – term expiring 12/31/2030 <br />• Charles Adkins, ALT – term expiring 6/30/2025 due to alternate positions being <br />retired <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The Council received two (2) written comments and the following members of the public spoke: <br />Nali McCartney, Janean Desmarais, Austin (no last name provided), Holly James, Rachel Kurtz- <br />McAlaine, and Abi Ludwig. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Several council members thanked the public commentors and congratulated the new boards and <br />commission members. <br /> <br />Vice President Zarlingo provided an update from Snohomish County Tomorrow’s new Exploratory <br />Committee, and stated the Sound Transit Light Rail project is moving forward with environmental <br />impact statements focusing on the stops from the Alderwood Mall vicinity to Downtown Everett. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader attended the Puget Sound Regional Council Growth Management Policy <br />Board and the Riverside Neighborhood meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne attended the Port Gardner Neighborhood Association meeting, and they <br />were planning a neighborhood cleanup around Andy’s Place near Compass on March 8th (time to <br />be determined). She also stated that the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training <br />is now open and is an 8-week course. She also attended the Inaugural Parks and Built <br />Environment Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli thanked the Mayor for the Hope N Wellness extension and stated that <br />on 11th Avenue W there is an increase in code enforcement issues such as abandoned vehicles <br />and shopping carts and littering. <br />
