The <br /> performance requirements for the selected credits should be specified when applicable. The <br /> typical insulation requirements on Sheet A0.1 and the details should be revised where required <br /> for consistency with the selected energy credits. See Section R106.1.1. "N/A"since we are not <br /> requesting any addition to the house"However we are upgrading the roof insulation to R49. <br /> Structural <br /> 1. The construction drawings should include a schedule of fasteners per Table R602.3(1). Note <br /> that providing a reference to this table in the drawings does not satisfy this requirement. In <br /> addition, the make and model of proprietary connection hardware should be specified where <br /> used. See Section R106.1.1. "N/A"No new structural added <br /> 2. The new interior walls, including infill of existing openings,should be clearly delineated in the <br /> floor plan on Sheet A0.4. Details for the construction of the walls should be provided. The <br /> details should including top and bottom sill connections to the existing structure; blocking <br /> should be provided at the roof where the top plates do not align with the ceiling framing. See <br /> Section R106.1.1 and R602.5. Section R106.1.1 and R602.5. 'Added detail for the interior <br /> walls" <br /> 3. Sheet A0.3 shows demolition and enlarging of the doorway leading to the proposed Living <br /> Room (currently the Carport). The construction drawings should specify the required framing, <br /> including but not limited to a new header, and supporting king and jack studs. The <br /> construction should comply with Section 602.7. See Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1. "N/A" <br /> 4. The"Typical Wall Section"on Sheet A0.4 specifies the existing thickened slab for the foundation <br /> under the new Living Room exterior walls. The following comments should be addressed: <br /> a. Additional information should be provided including but not limited to the dimensions and <br /> reinforcement The construction should comply with Figure 403.1(1)-1 and Section <br /> R403.1.3. The minimum depth should not be less than 12 inches per Section R403.1.4. <br /> b. Wood construction should be located at least 6 inches above the adjacent grade per <br /> Sections R317.1 and R404.1.6,a 2-inch clearance is acceptable per Section R317.1 Item 5. <br /> c. Wall sill plate anchors should comply with Sections R403.1.6, R403.1.6.1, and R602.11.1. <br /> Alternatively, an engineered design may be performed per Section R301.1.3. "N/A" <br /> 5. The enclosed portion of the building should be provided with wall bracing on all three sides per <br /> Section R602.10. The locations of the walls should be shown in the floor plan on Sheet A0.4. <br /> Construction requirements for the walls should be specified. 'N/A"No new structural added <br /> This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br /> amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br /> during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br /> requirements.
