I
GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING REPORT
PROPOSED FLIGHT LINE STEAM LINE PROJECT
BOEING EVERETT FACILITY
EVERETT, WASHINGTON
Project No. 81115085
January 17, 2012
I
1.0 INTRODUCTION
A geotechnical investigation has been completed for the proposed Flight Line Steam Line Project
to be located at the Being Everett Facility in Everett, Washington. Four(4) borings, designated B-1
through B-4, were completed for this project to depths ranging from approximately 18'/z to 19 feet
below the existing surface along the proposed steam line alignment. Logs of the borings along
with a vicinity map and a boring location diagram are included in Appendix A of this report.
The purpose of these services is to provide information and geotechnical engineering
recommendations relative to:
• subsurface soil conditions • seismic considerations
• groundwater conditions ■ lateral earth pressures
• earthwork • subsurface drainage
1
2.0 PROJECT INFORMATION
2.1 Project Description
P
' ITEM DESCRIPTION
Site layout See Appendix A, Exhibit A-2: Boring Location Diagram
tWe understand that a new steam line will be installed in a
new 470 foot long utilidor extending from the southwest
Steam Line corner of Building 40-21 to Vault E, which is located
approximately 300 feet south of the southeast corner of
Building 40-51. The proposed utilidor alignment is shown on
Exhibit A-2.
1
I
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 1
