Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section. <br />B. Related Sections include the following: <br />1. Division 01 Section "Commissioning." <br />2. Division 23 Section "Common Mechanical Materials and Methods" <br />3. Division 23 Section "Identification for Mechanical Piping and Equipment' <br />4. Division 23 Section "Fans" <br />5. Division 23 Section "Commissioning of Mechanical Systems: General <br />Requirements." <br />6. Division 26 and 27 "Electrical' <br />1.2 SUMMARY <br />A. This Section includes control equipment for HVAC systems, including control <br />components, wiring and piping for equipment not directly controlled by the DDC system. <br />Control system consists of DDC controllers, sensors, indicators, actuators, final control <br />elements, interface equipment, other apparatus, and accessories connected to <br />controllers to operate systems according to sequences of operation indicated. The <br />control systems shall be designed such that each mechanical system shall be capable of <br />operating under stand-alone mode. System Software shall be updated to the latest <br />version at project completion. <br />B. Electrical equipment, components and accessories shall be U.L. Listed and Labeled. <br />C. DDC system and components shall be BACnet Data Communications Protocol <br />compliant. Controllers, devices and components shall be listed by BACnet Testing <br />Laboratories. <br />D. Emergency Power: DDC controller (with Uninterruptible Power Supply) and components <br />shall be furnished with emergency power if equipment controlled is being installed with <br />emergency power. <br />E. Existing DDC system Siemens will be extended. <br />F. Existing DDC controller shall be replaced or upgraded if not compatible with new DDC <br />system. Existing controllers, firmware, sensors, actuators and components not <br />compatible with new DDC system shall be replaced. Existing DDC system will be <br />required to operate on operating software specified herein. Gateways will not be allowed <br />to communicate with the existing DDC system. <br />G. Unless otherwise indicated, the existing DDC system shall remain operational. <br />Temporary services shall be provided as needed to maintain operations in occupied <br />areas.
