See Sheet A2.0. It appears that the existing Garage is being converted to a Family Room. New habitable <br /> space requires to comply with current residential and energy code requirements (WSEC R502.1). Plans <br /> should show how the space complies with the current energy code requirements. Note that the energy code <br /> requires the floor slab to be insulated. See WSEC Table 402.1.1 for insulation requirements and options for <br /> existing slabs. <br /> The plans now show the converted garage space meeting the energy code requirements for habitable space, <br /> including insulation added over top of the existing floor slab and insulating of existing wall cavities. <br /> Structural: <br /> 1. Plans including structural information should be stamped and signed by a structural engineer. <br /> A full structural design set has been prepared and submitted with the revised drawings, which are stamped <br /> and signed by a structural engineer. <br /> 2. See Sheet A2.1. It appears that a girder truss is specified to support the existing framing. Connections of the <br /> existing framing to girder truss should be specified. <br /> Please see the structural drawing set for this connection. <br /> 1 <br />
