• RE: Violation Citation 7826 Rainier Drive, Everett WA 98203 Mr. Cunningham, I did not intend and have no intention to alter the residence, detached garage or shed with a large canopy without permits or approval. I will list below what I have done to property and what was here when I purchased the home in Sept 2021. 1. The detached garage is exactly how it was when I purchased the home. I have not altered anything in the garage. The garage is being used for storage. 2. The shed with a large canopy is exactly how it was when I purchased the home. I have not altered anything on the shed. Per the seller the shed has been there for at least a few decades. 3. I did not build the deck attached to the rear of the property. I purchased the home with the current deck. Only thing I did to the deck is add railing and replaced some rotten boards. I am not aware that I need a permit or approval to add railing to an existing deck. If I need a permit for railing please let me know how to proceed with the railing permit. 4. I did add a wood ramp to the front of the home to make the front door entrance wheelchair accessible. The ramp is not higher than approximately 1 foot and I am not aware that a permit is required. If a permit is required, please let me know and I will remedy this. 5. I did replace the hot water tank and did not know I needed city approval. I have contacted a licensed plumber to help me remedy the hot water tank issue and be in compliance with the city. 6. The bathrooms were updated with new tiles, new toilets and sinks. None of the plumbing was moved or altered. I am not sure what needs to be permitted. Do I need a permit for adding tiles? Do I need a permit to replace the sink or toilet? 7. I have replaced old receptacles with modern receptacles and changed old light fixtures to modern ones. Do I need a permit to change receptacles or light fixtures?
