•
4. Fire Access—Is O.K.as shown on the site plan reviewed.
5. When access to or within a structure or an area is unduly difficult because of secured openings or where
immediate access is necessary for life saving or fire-fighting purposes, the Fire Department may
recommend or require a key box to be installed in an accessible location. A rapid entry system may also
be desirable in order to avoid unnecessary damage while making entry to any building during an
emergency situation. Please call(425)257-8123 for further information.
•
6. Premise Identification-Premises shall be clearly identified by the correct address at the street entry.
Buildings shall be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. Individual
apartments and suites, where applicable, shall be clearly and legibly identified from the access road.
{
7. Portable Fire Protection-A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of 2-A:10-B:C shall be
provided within 75 feet of travel on all floors of each building during construction and prior to occupancy.
8. A copy of a fire alarm confidence test performed within the last 12 months shall be provided to the Fire
Marshal's Office. Any construction modifying or inhibiting the fire alarm to perform as designed and
installed will require the fire alarm to be upgraded to current code standards.
9. A permit is required from the Fire Department to operate a place of assembly.
10. Currently the area is an established A-3 occupancy. Any change in this classification will require a
review by the fire department for additional code requirements.
11. Fire Safety-Fire safety practices during construction shall be in compliance with Article 87 of the
Uniform Fire Code.
This is an administrative decision that is appealable to the City's Land Use Hearing Examiner. An appeal
must be filed with the City within 14 days of the date of this notice. If you have questions regarding this
proposal or if you wish to file an appeal, please contact Becky Gales, City of Everett Planning
Department,at(425) 257-8731.
Date: /l%/ ? , 2000
 ,_•lit'
. ,
Paul A.
