• <br /> 4. Fire Access—Is O.K.as shown on the site plan reviewed. <br /> 5. When access to or within a structure or an area is unduly difficult because of secured openings or where <br /> immediate access is necessary for life saving or fire-fighting purposes, the Fire Department may <br /> recommend or require a key box to be installed in an accessible location. A rapid entry system may also <br /> be desirable in order to avoid unnecessary damage while making entry to any building during an <br /> emergency situation. Premise Identification-Premises shall be clearly identified by the correct address at the street entry. <br /> Buildings shall be clearly identified so as to be visible and legible from the access road. Individual <br /> apartments and suites,where applicable, shall be clearly and legibly identified from the access road. <br /> { <br /> 7. Portable Fire Protection-A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of 2-A:10-B:C shall be <br /> provided within 75 feet of travel on all floors of each building during construction and prior to occupancy. <br /> 8. A copy of a fire alarm confidence test performed within the last 12 months shall be provided to the Fire <br /> Marshal's Office. Any construction modifying or inhibiting the fire alarm to perform as designed and <br /> installed will require the fire alarm to be upgraded to current code standards. <br /> 9. A permit is required from the Fire Department to operate a place of assembly. <br /> 10. Currently the area is an established A-3 occupancy. Any change in this classification will require a <br /> review by the fire department for additional code requirements. <br /> 11. Fire Safety-Fire safety practices during construction shall be in compliance with Article 87 of the <br /> Uniform Fire Code. <br /> This is an administrative decision that is appealable to the City's Land Use Hearing Examiner. An appeal <br /> must be filed with the City within 14 days of the date of this notice.
