However, some comments do not appear to be adequately
addressed. In addition, the Planning reviewer has issued comments that may impact the overall design of the
project. The previously submitted comments should be reviewed again and additional revisions performed as needed in
addition to changes required by the Planning comments.
In addition to the review comments, the revised drawings only include excerpts. The City of Everett does not collate
drawing sets on the applicant's behalf. Two full sets of revised construction drawings are required to be submitted.
Supplemental Comments are provided for some of the comments issued in the Second Review dated May 24,
2023. These are in addition to and itemized with the previous comments.
Architectural
2.The "Project Data" section of the drawings should reflect the proposed work, not the condition of other buildings on
the same lot. Information should be specified for other buildings that impact the proposed project, such as in the
"Project Description" statement or Site Plan 1 A-0.1. Entries such as but not limited to "Buildings", "Occupancy",j p / gand
"Construction Type" should be used for the proposed project, not other buildings on the site as they are not the current
scope of work.
5.The buildings do not appear to have sufficient separation to comply with the FSD for each structure without fire-rated
construction. The existing building(VA) requires a minimum distance of 30 feet and the nearest carport(VB) requires a
minimum distance of 10 feet, for a total separation of 10 feet. Alternatively, provide supplemental documentation
substantiating that the structures comply with the requirements for reduced FSD, including but not limited to the
opening limits per IBC Table 705.8.
Please contact us if you have questions. Thank you.
Drew Martin, P.E., S.E.
LIAssociate Engineer—Commercial Plans Examiner I Permit Services
425.257.8810 13200 Cedar Street, 2nd Floor, Everett,WA 98201
EVERETT Phone Hours: M/W/T:8 am - 12 pm & 1 pm—3 pm;Tu: 1:OOpm-3:OOpm
everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note:Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public
Records Act.
1
