It is note that guards are not <br /> required per Section R312.1. If provided, details specifying the required construction should <br /> be included in the drawings. The details should include connections to the supporting <br /> structure complying with the loading criteria per Table R301.5. Additional framing and <br /> fasteners should be provided for guard connected to rim boards or other framing to <br /> complete the load path. See Section R301.1. <br /> 7. Elevation 1/A3.1 shows a new ramp; the house does not currently have a ramp (i.e., existing <br /> path is a stepped walkway). Main Plan 1/A2.1 should be revised to show the construction of a <br /> new ramp. Framing and foundations, and sections and details, should be included to specify <br /> the required construction. The ramp construction should comply with Section R311.8. See <br /> Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1, and comments for the deck above that relate to the ramp <br /> construction. <br /> This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br /> amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br /> during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br /> requirements.
