The <br /> guards, connections to the supporting framing, and the supporting framing should be <br /> designed to resist a minimum 200-pound load per Table R301.5. Please provide the <br /> connection detail that will be used to connect the deck guard to the deck structure. <br /> Deck Guards have been added, Elevations done on guard. <br /> 4. It appears that the deck lateral load connection requirements of Section R507.9.2 have not <br /> been accounted for. Per figure R507.9.2(2) a 750-pound capacity hold-down device should <br /> be installed at four locations, evenly distributed along the deck and one within 24 inches of <br /> each end of the ledger. Four Simpson DTT1Z's installed per the figure and the <br /> manufacturer's instructions would satisfy this requirement. Please indicate on the drawings <br /> how the lateral load connection requirement will be met for the deck. <br /> DTTIZ's added to plans page 11 , Thank you <br /> This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br /> amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett.
