• The Guidelines state that all new buildings shall present a front entrance facing and <br /> clearly visible from the sidewalk and provide pedestrian connections to the <br /> street. Buildings located on the back of a lot shall orient toward the dominant street <br /> and, when possible, present a front entrance visible from the sidewalk. Infill dwellings or <br /> buildings on the back of a corner lot shall orient toward the street to which they are <br /> adjacent. This guideline does not appear to be met, as the ADU is oriented toward the <br /> north property line and not the street. <br /> • Lastly,the Guidelines state that weather protection shall be provided over the front <br /> door. <br /> Please note that any deviations from the Guidelines require public noticing. The deviation process is <br /> outlined in EMC 19.28.070. <br /> The permit intake/resubmittal policy is available on the Permit Services Page. Please submit at minimum <br /> 2 copies of any revised documents/plans. These comments are only related to the land use code and do <br /> not account for all possible requirements from other departments.
