Please review and respond to the comments <br /> below: <br /> General: <br /> 1. The architectural elevations show a 5 % x 12 GL Beam whereas the structural drawings and <br /> calculations indicate a 5 %x 15 GL Beam. Please coordinate the architectural elevations with the <br /> proposed structural elements indicated on the structural sheets. <br /> 2. The structural plans on sheets SC4 and SC5 existing elements are missing an indication <br /> corresponding to the plan legend. Please identify the existing elements and existing elements in <br /> need of field verification to provide better clarity for the contractors and inspectors. <br /> 3. There is no mention of a 60-psf deck live loading in the "Floor Load" section of the general <br /> structural notes on sheet SC1. The structural plans should indicate all relevant loadings to the <br /> intent of construction per Section 1603 of the 2018 IBC. <br /> 4. Please remove, grey, or note any ancillary details from sheets SC6, SC7 and SC8 which do not <br /> pertain to the structural load path critical for the deck addition. The calculations may include <br /> illustrations of these elements as the engineer sees fit.See Sections 107.2.1 and 1603 of the 2018 <br /> IBC for discussion of relevant information in construction documents. <br /> 5. Details 4/SC6, 6/SC8 and 7/SC8 provide a second option for connections not included in the <br /> calculation package.
