Element 5: Stabilize Soils (2.1.5) <br /> West of the Cascade Mountains Crest <br /> Season Dates Number of Days Soils Can <br /> be Left Exposed <br /> During the Dry Season May 1 — September 30 7 days <br /> During the Wet Season October 1 —April 30 2 days <br /> Soils must be stabilized at the end of the shift before a holiday or weekend if needed based on <br /> the weather forecast. <br /> Anticipated project dates: Start date: 08/30/2023 End date: 10/30/2023 <br /> Will you construct during the wet season? <br /> No <br /> List and describe BMPs: <br /> BMP C120 Temporary and Permanent Seeding: Seeding will occur to stabilize exposed areas <br /> Seeding notes are including in the construction plans. <br /> BMP C123 Plastic Covering: Plastic covering will be used for stockpiles. <br /> BMP C125 Topsoiling/Composting: This BMP will be implemented as part of BMP T5.13 Post <br /> Construction Soil Quality and Depth. Notes are included in the Full Drainage Report and in the <br /> construction plans. <br /> BMP C140 Dust Control: As needing during the dry weather, the exposed surfaces will be <br /> sprinkled with water to prevent windborne erosion. <br /> Installation Schedules: These measures will be implemented throughout the site construction <br /> until exposed surfaces are finally stabilized. <br /> Inspection and Maintenance plan: Inspection will be routine throughout the project construction <br /> looking to see that soils are stabilized and the underlying surface is protected and not eroding. <br /> Maintenance will be per the applicable BMP in the Drainage Manual. <br /> Responsible Staff: CESCL and contractor. <br />
