Waste streams generated from concrete grinding and sawing <br /> Exposed aggregate processes <br /> Dewatering concrete vaults <br /> Concrete pumping and mixer washout waters <br /> Recycled concrete <br /> Other (i.e. calcium lignosulfate) [please describe] <br /> • Process water and slurry resulting from concrete work will be prevented from entering the <br /> waters of the state by implementing concrete handling measures (BMP C151). <br /> • Concrete truck chutes, pumps, and internals shall be washed out only into formed areas <br /> awaiting installation of concrete or asphalt. <br /> • Unused concrete remaining in the truck and pump shall be returned to the originating <br /> batch plant for recycling. <br /> • Hand tools including, but not limited to, screeds, shovels, rakes, floats, and trowels shall <br /> be washed off only into formed areas awaiting installation of concrete or asphalt. <br /> • When no formed areas are available, washwater and leftover product shall be contained <br /> in a lined container. Contained concrete shall be disposed of in a manner that does not <br /> violate groundwater or surface water quality standards. <br /> The geotechnical engineer has written a memorandum about the use of cement treated <br /> base. They will provide the CESCL services and will monitor pH on-site weekly. <br /> Installation Schedules: At time of use. <br /> Inspection and Maintenance plan: Inspect during operation and verify BMPs or functioning <br /> adequately. Make repairs or revisions as needed. <br /> Responsible Staff: CESCL and contractor. <br /> Concrete trucks must not be washed out onto the ground, or into storm drains, open ditches, <br /> streets, or streams. Excess concrete must not be dumped on-site, except in designated <br /> concrete washout areas with appropriate BMPs installed. <br />
