The comments below were generated from this project's City of Everett Industrial Pretreatment Reviewer. This is a private pipe with minimal conveyance capacity
and the canopy area is included in the 1,460 square feet fuel
island drainage basin. It does not warrant further investigation.
City Comment: While the designer states that the pipe in
question does not warrant further investigation, since it has
been indicated that it is "likely a roof drain connection to the
canopy", the source must be confirmed. If the source is from the
roof of the canopy, the flow from the roof of the canopy (this
pipe) must be directed to the stormwater system, not to the
sanitary sewer. Per EMC 14.40.050.13.12, roof runoff and
stormwater are prohibited discharges stormwater to the sanitary
sewer.
If the pipe's source is found to be something other than the roof
drain of the canopy, the designer must indicate the source
before any approval of connection of this source is allowed to
the sanitary sewer.
6
Civil Plans
-
2nd Review Comment: The berm around the west fuel island will
The existing asphalt pavement along the
need to be redone and surround the entire fuel island, to
southern concrete pad edge slopes south
prevent stormwater from reaching the two catch basins located
(away from the pad) at approximately 1%.
within the fuel island area.
