Nelson has been monitoring
the water levels within the OWS vaults and the
4,500-gallon containment vault, and contracts with
a commercial service to pump out the vault on an
as -needed basis. The IDPP plan submitted under
Permit No. P2309-027, proposes to pump the
collected stormwater from the containment vault to
a temporary catch basin in the southeast corner of
the site before connecting to the sanitary sewer.
With the existing infrastructure in place for routing
runoff to the existing OWS vaults and containment
vault, new stormwater piping and connections per
the final design can be made after drawing down
the water levels in the vaults.
10
Interim to
-
How will the site prevent untreated runoff / pollutants
Stormwater from the parking lot, Pacific Pride and
Final Plan
from discharging to North Creek during the transition from
Nelson fuel islands all flow to a structure with an
the interim plan, to construction, and to regular
isolation valve. No
stormwater has been discharged to the downstream
system since April 2023. The valve will remain
closed for the "interim plan" and will be removed in
the "final plan". Currently, Nelson monitors the
water depth in the OWS vaults daily and has a
commercial pumping service dispose of the fluids on
an as -needed basis. These actions have been in
place since April 2023. The final design changes the
piping to separate the parking lot and fuel island
drainage basins, both systems still flowing through
OWS vaults. Only drainage from the parking lot will
discharge to the downstream storm.
11
Stormwater
-
The stormwater system shall be cleaned by the owner and
Acknowledged.
