The 24-hour Emergency Response Number is: US Ecology (800) 883-4672
Emergency Cleanup:
• All chemical liquids, fluids, and petroleum products are stored on an impervious
surface, and fueling areas are covered by a roof and canopies. Surface water collecting
on the paved surface is dispersed through a series of storm drainage vaults which
connect to three oil/water separators, which collect all surface water at the site. The
discharge from the oil water separators is routed to a valve box with a manual stop
valve which directs all water to collect in a 4,500-gallon secondary containment vault.
• A spill kit is located within 25 feet of all stationary mobile fueling units. The spill kits
include at a minimum:
Oil absorbents capable of absorbing 15 gallons of fuel.
A storm drain plug or cover kit.
A non -water containment boom, a minimum of 10 feet in length with a 12 gallon
absorbent capacity.
Two five -gallon buckets with lids.
• Drip buckets are utilized for truck fuel nozzles after petroleum transfer operations.
• All material storage and fueling operations are conducted in existing containment and
diversion systems.
• A spill log is maintained in the SWPPP that includes the following information for
chemical and petroleum spills: date, time, amount, location, and reason for spill;
date/time clean-up conducted, notifications implemented and staff involved.
3.4 Inspections
The purpose of inspections is to identify stormwater outfall discharges exhibiting
characteristics of possible contamination. The stormwater collection vault will be
inspected daily to evaluate the available capacity and necessity for disposal. Attached to
the IDPP is an inspection form to be completed daily to monitor the tank capacity and
contents.
3.5 Record Keeping and Reporting
Record keeping provides documentation of compliance and provides a basis for review of
areas of improvement and are readily available to agency inspectors during inspections.
