16. A Performance Guarantee is required for street improvements on Broadway and 32nd Street prior to building <br /> permit issuance. <br /> 17. Any broken or damaged sidewalk shall be repaired/replaced per the City Public Works Inspector. <br /> 18. The construction plans must be designed from a site survey performed by a licensed State of Washington land <br /> surveyor. <br /> 19. Soil compaction testing shall be performed throughout the construction of the public street and utilities. Density <br /> curves shall be submitted to the Public Works Department prior to permits being issued for any aspect of the <br /> project. All work performed by the geotechnical engineer or testing lab shall be reported directly to the City Public <br /> Works Inspector before covering work can be continued by the contractor. Daily reports shall be kept by the soils <br /> investigator/tester and submitted to the Public Works Inspector within 24 hours. <br /> 20. All exposed ground must be reseeded within 30 days of the completion of construction. If reseeding is not <br /> practical due to weather or seasonal problems, the ground must be covered with mulch as directed by the City <br /> Engineer. <br /> 21. Temporary erosion control measures for construction activity must be operational prior to commencement of any <br /> clearing or earthwork. <br /> 22. All excavated material from foundation, sidewalk and driveways shall be hauled to an approved, <br /> permitted site. No wasting of material is allowed on this building lot. <br /> 23. No dirt, mud, rocks or debris shall be tracked onto roadway. <br /> 24. No building materials are to be stacked on the abutting sidewalk and roadway, which shall to be kept clean and <br /> open for pedestrian travel. <br /> Fire Department Comments - Jim Venturo 425 257-8124 <br /> 25. The International Fire Code requires that all new structures shall provide Fire Department access roads to within <br /> 150 feet exterior walking distance of all portions of the ground floor. Fire Department access roads (Fire Lanes) <br /> shall provide a minimum of 20 feet in width of unobstructed, paved driving surface, exclusive of shoulders, with a <br /> minimum clear height of 13'6". Inside turn radii must be 35 feet. Outside turn radii must be 55 feet for ladder <br /> apparatus. Slope approach and departure angles must not exceed 8 degrees. Fire lane grade must not exceed <br /> 10 percent. Fire lane construction must comply with AASHTO H30 load capacity (74,000 GVW). Fire Lanes will <br /> be posted and maintained as required by the Fire Department. Unorthodox access which meets code <br /> requirements but is too unusual for crews, will not be allowed. Call Fire Marshal's Office for apparatus <br /> specifications. <br /> 26. Access is O.K. as shown on the site plan reviewed. <br /> 27. Knox Boxes are required at the sprinkler room door, lobby entrance and exterior staircase doors. Go to <br /> www.everettfire.gov to order recessed boxes#3270. <br /> 28. Knox fire department connection caps are required for all outside FDC and standpipe connection <br /> points. Order cap#3043 for FDC. <br /> 29. Fire lanes shall be provided as required in Everett Municipal Code 46.44. Fire lanes shall be <br /> identified by red curbs with white stenciling stating "NO PARKING - FIRE LANE" and vertical signs <br /> stating "NO PARKING—FIRE LANE—TOW AWAY ZONE— EMC 46.28.130". Location shall be <br /> approved by the Fire Code Official. Per field evaluation per Fire Marshal. <br /> 30. Premises shall be clearly identified by the correct address at the street entry, with 8 inch minimum letters <br /> above the lobby door. Buildings shall be clearly identified so as to be .sible and legible from the access <br />
