While you should submit any plans
required by the agency, you are not required to duplicate maps or detailed plans
submitted with any permit applications related to this checklist. Ihelpl
The project consists of two parcels, 29050900300800 and 29050800402500,
situated within the SW 1/4 of Section 9, Township 29N., Range 5 East W.M..
Generally located southeast of the intersection of E Marine View Drive (SR 529)
and Riverside Road. Legal description as stated in the City of Everett BLA#16-004
for Lots 2 and 4.
B. ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS Jhelpl
1. Earth 'help]
a. [help]
33%
c. What general types of soils are found on the site (for example, clay, sand, gravel, peat,
muck)? If you know the classification of agricultural soils, specify them and note any
agricultural land of long-term commercial significance and whether the proposal results
in removing any of these soils. Jhelpl
Per Landau Associates, alluvium deposited by the Snohomish River is present across
the entire site below surficial fill that was placed on the project site. The alluvium
consists of layers of sand and silt with varying organic content. In general, the upper
portion of this unit consists of fine to medium sand with varying silt content. Soil
encountered at depths below the silt unit primarily consist of silty, clayey sand, or
interbedded clayey silt and sand grading to gray, medium sand with trace fines and
pieces of wood. Explorations completed by Terra Associates are consistent with the
soils described by Landau.
d. Are there surface indications or history of unstable soils in the immediate vicinity? If so,
describe. Jhelpl
The soils are susceptible to Liquefaction.
e. Describe the purpose, type, total area, and approximate quantities and total affected
area of any filling, excavation, and grading proposed. Indicate source of fill. Jhelpl
The entire site will be regraded to a consistent elevation predominantly using on
soils that are present on site. The fill soils on site consist of soils imported by the
Port of Everett and dredge sands from the Snohomish River. Grading will be
planned to reduce conflicts with the underlying soils that may contain residual
contamination from the former Weyerhaeuser Mill operation. Approximately
14,200 CY of existing onsite material will be graded across the site with an
additional 10,900 CY needing to be imported. Fill materials will be imported from
an approved source.
f. Could erosion occur as a result of clearing, construction, or use? If so, generally
describe.
