CHAPTER 3. HABITAT ASSESSMENT METHODS <br /> ' The methods used to successfully comply with Federal, State, and local shoreline assessment <br /> requirements are detailed below. Please see Appendix A for further details of methods used in this <br /> ' report. <br /> The subject property was investigated for the presence of fish and wildlife habitat and priority and/or <br /> ESA listed species on November 17, 2016, by Jon Pickett, Senior Planner for SVC. Data from the <br /> ' National Wetland Inventory,Snohomish County Geographic Information Services,maps of the U.S. <br /> Fish and Wildlife Service,WDFW Priority Habitat and Species Maps, the Soil Survey of Snohomish <br /> County, and various ground and aerial photographs were also consulted (Appendix B). <br /> ' The Snohomish River was classified using the Washington Department of Natural Resources Water <br /> Typing System as outlined in described in the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) Section 222- <br /> 16 and the guidelines established in the Everett Municipal Code;Shoreline Master Program. <br /> Per the NMFS Biological Opinion (BiOp) for NFIP activities in the Puget Sound Basin, only five <br /> ' listed species are required to be considered (the five listed species regulated by the National Marine <br /> Fisheries at the time of that BiOp).
