Landscaping will be planted to screen portions of the site as required by City of <br />Everett Zoning Code. <br />11. Light and Glare <br />a. What type of light or glare will the proposal produce? What time of day would it mainly <br />occur? <br />Operations on site will occur 24 hours/day, seven days per week. Lighting will <br />include LED lighting of work areas and site employee and visitor parking lots. <br />b. Could light or glare from the finished project be a safety hazard or interfere with views? <br />Lights will be shielded and will not be of a higher intensity than necessary, therefore light <br />or glare should not be a safety hazard or interfere with views. <br />c. What existing off -site sources of light or glare may affect your proposal? <br />None. <br />d. Proposed measures to reduce or control light and glare impacts, if any: <br />All outside lighting will be shielded to direct light downward and onto the site. <br />12. Recreation <br />a. What designated and informal recreational opportunities are in the immediate vicinity? <br />Langus Riverfront Park lies upriver from the site approximately one mile. The <br />Snohomish River itself supports a fair amount of recreational boat traffic. Boat <br />launching sites can be found downstream at the 12th Street Boat Launch, which is owned <br />and operated by the Port of Everett. <br />b. Would the proposed project displace any existing recreational uses? If so, describe. <br />No. <br />c. Proposed measures to reduce or control impacts on recreation, including recreation <br />opportunities to be provided by the project or applicant, if any: <br />Because this site is not water -dependent, a scenic pedestrian trail along the <br />waterfront will be required to be constructed as a condition of site development. <br />A 50-foot buffer adjacent to the water's edge has been retained by the Port of <br />Everett for purposes of constructing this trail. <br />SEPA Environmental checklist (WAC 197-11-960) July 2016 Page 14 of 17 <br />
