PUBLIC WORKS
Package.
19. The proposed project proposes to connect two pressure zones and will need to install a PRV to
do so. The City of Everett Water Department has performed an examination of the pressure
zones surrounding the proposed project and has the following suggestions:
a. Connect to the water main in 36th Ave W. This connects to the Industry Pressure Zone
(Elev=670). An 8" PRV should be installed on the southwest side of Building A, just
east of the proposed traffic circle/turn-around near the property line between proposed
Lot 1 and proposed Lot 5. This then connects the Industry Pressure Zone to the Bridle
Park Pressure Zone (Elev=464), which loops around Building C and ties in at the north
end of Sound Ave.
b. The City will abandon the 12" D.I. main that runs north, parallel to and just west of 36th
Ave W and will move the existing services and fire hydrant near Sound Ave to the
existing 12"main that heads east in Sound Ave.
c. The project's proposed main upgrade/replacement in Sound Ave shall be installed
approximately 3'-4' to the west of the existing 6" Cast Iron main. City of Everett crews
will switch over services to the new main that will be installed by the project's
contractor and City of Everett crews will make the connection from the new main
(installed by the project's contractor) to the existing 12" main that heads to the east in
Sound Ave.
20. The City of Everett's Sewer Department would like to know if the proposed business will
generate high flows discharging to the sanitary sewer system. Please address on the civil plans
submitted with the Public Works Permit Application package.
21. The City of Everett's Transit Department will need a turnaround and bus stop located at the
intersection being installed at the roundabout area at the end of 36th Ave W.
22. Stormwater for this project shall be managed in accordance with the City of Everett's 2010
Stormwater Management Manual. The most current version of WWHM2012 shall be used for
stormwater modeling and design, including a 15-minute time interval.
23. Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention will be required for this project in compliance
with City Standards. In addition, because the project will disturb more than an acre of land, the
applicant must apply for coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology's
Construction Stormwater General Permit.
