The following required corrections have been requested by this project's Structural <br />Reviewer. Please note that the structural review does not cover the building <br />structure. <br />a. Structural Comments: <br />i. Detention Vaults: <br />1. Please verify that the vactor truck loading attached is accounted for in the <br />design of hollow core planks. Please add this design criteria in Plan Note <br />3 on CS2.1 & CS2.3. <br />ii. Permanent Soil Nail Retaining Walls: <br />1. Please clarify that the permanent wall design accounts for seismic <br />surcharge pressures as it appears that the permit calculations seem to <br />indicate that a Seismic Coefficient of 0.0 typically (refer to Soundview <br />North Wall Station 15+25 General Data Table of the geotechnical report). <br />2. Please clarify and provide references in the calculations where possible, if <br />the traffic surcharge pressures are accounted for in the design of the <br />permanent wall condition. The soil nail walls are retaining soil in which <br />a parking lot is to be located. <br />3. On SN1.0, it appears that there are two different ultimate pullout <br />strengths, but the AD provided in the tables in subsequent sheets SN3.0 <br />through SN3.4 is indicating 4 consistently. Please verify the Safety <br />Factors and the Ultimate Pullout Strengths there is ultimate value or more <br />than one. If there is more than one ultimate value, please clarify further. <br />4. Planning Review for this project is being conducted separately, by this project's Planner, John <br />Jimerson. John will send a separate corrections letter, if required. If you have any questions <br />regarding these comments, please contact John Emerson with the City of Everett Planning <br />Department (425-257-8737 or JJimersongeverettwa.gov). <br />This comment letter is to facilitate plan revisions at an expedited review. As additional comments <br />come in through me, I will update this letter and send it as an attachment to an email.
