EVALUATION FOR
AGENCY USE ONLY
Locations for directional signage and monument sign are shown on the site plan.
The new clinic will be added to existing PRMC directional signage. An illuminated
sign ("OPEN") is proposed for the urgent care function. No flashing or changing
message is proposed.
b. Could light or glare from the finished project be a safety hazard or interfere
with views?
Light and glare is not expected to be a safety hazard.
c. What existing off -site sources of light or glare may affect your proposal?
Light and glare from existing roadways, the Providence Campus, the Central Utility
Plan and residences would not have an impact on the proposal.
d. Proposed measures to reduce or control light and glare impacts, if any:
Parking lot lights would be shielded to mitigate light spillage beyond the parking lot.
There is an existing 35-foot landscaped buffer on the site that would reduce fugitive
light.
12. RECREATION
a. What designated and informal recreational opportunities are in the immediate
vicinity?
Wiggums Hollow Park and Legion Memorial Golf Course are located less than one
mile from the site. There is also a neighborhood park across Colby Avenue at 13th
Street. Senator H.M. Jackson Park is a 14-acre park approximately 1.5 miles east of
the site and contains baseball/softball and soccer fields, a playground, basketball
hoops and a picnic shelter. There is an existing walking trail around the detention
pond.
b. Would the proposed project displace any existing recreational uses? If so,
describe.
The existing walking trail around the detention pond would be removed; however,
upon project completion, a replacement trail through the site will be provided.
c. Proposed measures to reduce or control impacts on recreation, including
recreation opportunities to be provided by the project or applicant, if any:
No impacts are expected, therefore no mitigation is proposed.
Environmental Checklist — Providence Regional Medical Center Everett — North Site Page 27
© stioc'hEv
